"Lost" in Tokyo

There once were two travelers (a.k.a. John & Sharon) who intended to take a water taxi boat ride on the Sumida River., making their way to the Asakusa Station via the Ginza metro line. Once on their way, both consulted their maps and directions, and soon after being on their way, one traveler said they needed to exit and transfer to the Akasaka line. However, after traveling quite some distance, and arising from the subway to the above the ground tracks, they realized that this didn’t seem quite right……new sights of Tokyo and its suburbs on an express train that seemed to be headed for Haneda Airport. As soon as they could, they got off and transferred to a train going the opposite way. After a short while, everyone got off and had to transfer to another train. Well, to make a long story short, the travelers finally found their way to the Asakusa Station so they could take their intended water taxi ride on the Sumida River, only instead to having it be their starting point, it was their ending point! It was a wonderful ride, going under 13 different bridges, passing by tall apartment buildings, office buildings, views of the harbor, tugboats, and under a couple bridges, tent shelters for homeless folk.

On this same trip, the travelers visited the World Trade Center,

and saw 360 degree views of the city from the 45th floor.

As the travelers enjoyed a lunch at the center, they reviewed their steps and missteps, and still weren’t quite sure who made what error in charting the way. ASAKUSA OR AKASAKA…. What do you think?????

It made for a lot of laughter as we recounted the day going to the Asakusa Station via the Akasaka line…. Just stay on the Ginza line to the Asakusa Station! Hey, we weren’t lost, just confused!!
